Built
The infrastructure that runs Infraxus is built solo, by a finance operator. Five years of finance-systems work, applied here. The offer was prototyped through an extended engagement with an Australian information technology firm before the firm was launched.

Questions this work tends to answer
- My accountant says we made money, so why can’t I find it in the bank?
- Which clients, jobs, or products are actually making money, and which ones are just keeping us busy?
- Can I afford this hire, or does it just make payroll harder?
- Are these numbers solid enough to make a decision, or am I still just going by feel?
- Can I afford this purchase right now, or am I borrowing from next month without realising it?
- If I step away for a week, what breaks before I see it?
Background
- Wellington2017–2020
- Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting and Finance, Victoria University of Wellington. Certificate of Excellence. A− GPA.
- Auckland and Barcelona2020–2023
- Business Advisory at BDO. Hired out-of-cycle from a 250+ applicant pool during the 2020 COVID hiring contraction. Promoted through four roles in under two years; trained two graduate consultants while completing the CA programme; inherited the dedicated forecasting role for a 50-staff office under tenure. Engagements included multi-entity consolidations under operationally degraded internal finance, forensic accounting on a director’s-duties insolvency matter working directly with instructed counsel, and integrated forecast modelling for a proposed business that did not yet exist. Negotiated a remote engagement structure to relocate to Barcelona for the final twelve months.
- Melbourne2023–2024
- Finance Business Partner at a 130-staff mid-tier law firm. Ran the finance brief in board meetings during repeated CFO absences; owned the three-way forecast for ATO and lender reporting; sat across Remuneration Committee discussions including partner-pay analysis. Through one extended period in mid-2024, ran the firm’s finance function solo across CFO, finance manager, analyst, and payroll responsibilities, with one junior staff member supporting. Single-handedly migrated payroll and HR platforms inside one month. On more than one occasion produced analysis that contradicted the prevailing leadership view. The firm has remained an external advisory client since I left.
- New York2025
- Founded Infraxus. First version of the firm, the infrastructure, and the prototype client engagement built in Lower Manhattan over four months.
- Melbourne / Medellín2026–present
- Operating Infraxus across both bases. Time split between Melbourne and Medellín. The infrastructure layer documented in Built was constructed across this period; the offer continues to be refined against live engagement data.
